Not My Enemy: A Movement Created by Artists Sick of Division
We are tired of being told who our enemy is.
For too long, artists have been pushed into corners — forced to pick sides, self-censor, or stay silent so they don’t become the next target. Division has been weaponised against creativity itself. Whether through cancel culture, online mobs, institutional gatekeeping, or political tribalism, the message has been clear: conform or be cancelled.
Enough.
Not My Enemy is a standalone movement created by a growing collaboration of artists who refuse to play that game any longer. It is not owned by any single collective, label, or organisation. It belongs to every creator who believes art should unite rather than divide, provoke thought rather than enforce dogma, and heal rather than harm.
The core idea is simple yet radical:
The person who disagrees with you is not your enemy.
The idea that offends you is not your enemy.
The artist who dares to create something uncomfortable is not your enemy.
Division is the enemy. Censorship is the enemy. The demand for ideological purity is the enemy.
At Artworkz Productions we are proud to champion this movement, but we did not invent it. It emerged organically from conversations between artists — some established, some emerging, some completely anonymous — who are exhausted by the constant pressure to choose a tribe. We simply gave it a name, a visual identity, and a platform that guarantees zero censorship and total artistic safety.
What Not My Enemy stands for:
- Art as a bridge, not a battleground.
- The right to create without fear of professional or personal destruction.
- The belief that different opinions, even deeply uncomfortable ones, are essential to a living culture.
- “Turn the channel over” as the civilised response to work you dislike.
- Real unity through genuine freedom of expression — not enforced agreement.
This is not another polite diversity initiative. This is artists saying: we will no longer let division dictate what we can create or who we can speak to.
Not My Enemy is already live in the work we platform, the rituals we release, and the conversations we refuse to shut down. It is visible in every piece that dares to exist outside the approved narrative. It will continue to grow through anonymous releases, boundary-pushing collaborations, and open calls for any artist who shares the same fatigue with division.
If you are an artist who is sick of being forced into camps,
If you believe creativity should be bigger than politics,
If you want to create without apology or fear,
Then Not My Enemy is yours.
The movement starts here.
No owners.
No gatekeepers.
No division.
Just artists, finally standing together on the only thing that matters: the freedom to create.
Artists first.
Audience last.
Division never again.
